On Saturday, 16th March 2013 Hight Street, Penrith was alive with colour, glamour, dancers in the sky and on the street, impersonators, singers, performers and entertainers. The spirit was high, the weather fabulous!
Our dance studio (Let's Moove N Groove) along with many dancers and the wonderful and friendly team at Vintage FM 87.6 were in attendance. Vintage FM were one of the sponsors for the festival and went to an amazing effort to organise a black and white floor for our team to dance on! Thanks a million! It really made the photos taken look very impressive. If you haven't been in the car to listen to 87.6 then you can listen from your computer visit their website by clicking here.
The team at Let's Moove N Groove supports local community festivals by providing fun and vibrant dance demonstrations that help create a positive and friendly atmosphere that is generally enjoyed by all. We have a love for dance and music and that is why we love the crew at Vintage FM 87.6 and will be alongside them at the Penrith Rock 'n' Rowing Festival and other festivals this year. We share the same love and passion for hits gone by from artists like Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Johnny O'Keefe, Bobby Darin and many more.
On the 1st September 2012 we attended the St Mary's Spring Festival with the Vintage FM and Today Show crew. The weather could not have been any better. A beautiful, hot and sunny Spring day.
We had a awesome day hanging around the place and demonstrating social dancing of both Rock n Roll and Lindy Hop. We even got to have a dance with Elvis himself.
Everglades Vintage and Retro festival is on this weekend 17th - 18th November 2012 from 10am - 4pm.
What can you, your family and your friends enjoy during the 2 day festival:
We had a great day out at the Penrith Festival in 2011. We spent the day hanging around with the Vintage FM team at there stall along with rock n roll legend Lonnie Lee who was signing his new calendar.
The day started off being nice and sunny then all of a sudden a storm hit with some hail but even that was not enough to dampen everyone's spirit. It soon cleared up and it was soon time to hit the parade and then again just as we where getting ready the heavens opened up again and we continued with the parade.
