When you are starting out for the first time starting on the first week of a course is vital to your learning experience.
Five weeks is only really 5 hours of tuition and during these first 5 weeks you are learning FUNDAMENTAL rock n roll footwork style, techniques for both Leaders and Followers and you are learning how to partner dance. If you are really looking to get stuck into something new and you are really wanting to give justice to your learning experience, Rock n Roll dancing and be apart of preserving Rock n Roll history, then you really need to allow yourself 6 – 8 months. Everyone learns at different rates and paces. There are of course many methods for accelerating the learning experience including attending mutliple nights in the week, getting out to practice once or twice a week and include Private Lessons (one on one time with the Rock n Roll dance instructors) to compliment your attendance to group lessons, socials and events.
